EtherLinx Carrier Grade

Linxtelecom's EtherLinx Carrier Grade (CG) service extends the reach of your Ethernet service into Eastern Europe. Linxtelecom will connect with you through Network-Network-Interconnects (MEF: E-NNI's) in Frankfurt and/or Stockholm and will provide Ethernet extensions to your customers' remote offices in our region.

Linxtelecom's EtherLinx CG service is a private, managed point-to-point Ethernet over MPLS service, compliant with IETF RFC 4448 and MEF E-Line. It provides secure connectivity between the NNI and your customers' remote office in our region. The EtherLinx CG service is delivered at an agreed capacity and with committed service levels in terms of availability.
The EtherLinx CG service is designed as a high quality, cost effective alternative for Private Line services. It is optimized for applications requiring QOS, such as voice and video conferencing. Commitments for availability, latency and packet loss are included in the SLA provided for the EtherLinx CG service. Furthermore, the flexible VLAN ID allocation, the end-to end management, the large MTU size and transparency for a wide range of protocols all contribute to making this service suitable for use by global Ethernet operators.  

EtherLinx CG customers may connect with the Linxtelecom network using local access circuits with Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. The circuit transmission speeds may range from 1 to 1,000 Mbps.

In order to ensure high performance and availability of the EtherLinx CG service, Linxtelecom operates a high bandwidth MPLS/IP backbone between its target countries and has interconnect arrangements in place with local, regional and international carriers.
