Co-location
Linxdatacenter's Co-location Service provides a secure, climate controlled and well-connected facility where Customers can install telecommunications and data communications equipment and servers. At the Linxdatacenter's co-location facilities, standard 600 mm wide footprints are available, as are racks and cabinets in caged and shared areas. We maintain strict security with card-key access and advanced intrusion alarm systems. Fire and smoke detectors and an automatic inert gas based fire suppression system minimize the risk of damaging any co-located equipment or interrupting any services provided in or from the facilities.
Within the co-location facilities, Linxdatacenter maintains strict environmental conditions at constant levels to minimize temperature cycle induced aging of the Customer equipment. Redundant air-conditioning systems keep the ambient temperature at 20 +/- 2°C and relative humidity at 50 +/- 20% at all times. At all Rack Positions in the Co-location facility, mains power supply is available through single or dual dedicated 16A circuit breaker(s), optionally, with UPS. In addition, uninterrupted battery (telco) power is optionally available at -48VDC via separate circuit breakers. Back-up diesel generators and UPS provide back-up power in case of a mains outage; the back-up systems are designed to accommodate the power draw of the fully loaded facility.
Linxdatacenter can provide, maintain and administer UTP, coax and fiber cross-connects between any two pieces of Customer Equipment and between Customer Equipment, Meet-Me Rooms and Carrier Connections in the facility. Optionally, Linxdatacenter may provide installation support, remote hands and remote monitoring services and may arrange the connection to telephone circuits delivered by a local PSTN provider.
